The Road to Rajshahi
On the 14th of Friday 2025, at 6:30 AM, seven enthusiastic FCBians embarked on an exhilarating journey towards Rajshahi. Our route took us through Gabtoli-Savar-Chandra highway, heading towards the Northern Region (Rajshahi). Despite encountering heavy congestion up to Chandra, we paused for a well-deserved breakfast at Tangail and some much-needed rest.

After a satisfying breakfast, we resumed our journey, crossed the iconic Jamuna Bridge, and met four more FCBians at Hatikumrul, who had set off from Rangpur and Bogra. Now a convoy of eleven bikes, we continued our ride, taking short breaks every 50 km. With disciplined riding, we reached Ibrahim Hotel in Rajshahi by 4 PM for a delicious lunch. The famed ‘Beef Kala Vuna’ and the irresistible dessert ‘Dudh Shorer Malai’ left a lasting impression on our taste buds. Post-lunch, we checked into our pre-booked hotel and rested for an hour. Our hosts from Rajshahi, Mr. Nahid and Rad, welcomed us warmly. In the evening, we explored the city, indulging in local street foods like ‘Lemon Tea, fresh Fruit juice, Lebu Pinik, and Bhangchur’. Dinner at Samad Hotel featured traditional Rajshahi ‘Kalai Ruti, Beef Kala Vuna, Rice, and Duck Curry’, which was exceptionally flavorful. Later, we spent a magical night by the Padma River, basking in the moonlight on an anchored boat-an unforgettable experience.
A Grand Feast & Historic Sites
The next morning, we were welcomed into the home of our fellow FCBian, Mr. Moshiur, for breakfast. His family treated us like their own, serving a grand feast that included Rice flour bread, Duck meat curry, Chitai pitha, Milk chitai with kheer, Deshi eggs, crispy Fried potatoes, and Murighonto. Their heartfelt hospitality left a deep impact on us.

After breakfast, we set off for the famous ‘Kusumba Mosque’, featured on the five-taka currency note of Bangladesh. Immersing ourselves in the historical ambiance, we then moved towards the stunning Ghughudanga-Taltoli Road, led by Mr. Nahid. This smooth, winding road, lined with tall palm trees, felt like a paradise for riders. We even met another biking group from Dhaka before heading to Kureghar Mango Resort in Naogaon by afternoon.
The Kureghar Mango Resort, a vast Agro Farm with traditional mud cottages, became our sanctuary for the night. A surprise awaited us when our FCB Club’s President, Mr. Ganesh, and Secretary, Mr. Rabbani, made a grand entrance. Our lunch featured Mashed eggplants (Begun vorta), vegetables, deshi chicken curry, lentils (Dal), and Rice.Exploring the farm, we strolled through mango orchards, dragon fruit gardens, and lush plantations before heading to a local village market. As night fell, we gathered around for a barbecue session, enjoying chicken barbecue under the soft glow of the full moon. The cold intensified, but Mr. Nahid’s resourcefulness led to a bonfire, making the night even more special. We shared stories, laughed, and sang late into the night before reluctantly heading to bed.

The Journey Back Home
The next morning, we started our day with freshly prepared Date palm sap, a winter delicacy, followed by a simple yet delicious breakfast of soft Khichuri, mashed Potatoes, and fried Eggs. As we prepared for our return journey to Dhaka, we made a stop at the historic ‘Natore Rajbari’. Here, our friends from Rangpur- Mr. Akimul, Yamin, Shariful, and Mashiur-bid us farewell from there.

On our way back to Dhaka, we met FCB virtual members from Sirajganj, Mr. Nazmul and Khairul, who had been waiting for us for three hours. Due to time constraints, we had to skip our planned visit at Chinabadh. The ride back to Dhaka was challenging due to heavy traffic, but meeting two more FCBians, Mr. Sahed and Rubel Rana, in Tangail lifted our spirits. Despite the congestion, we made it back home safely, thanks to the expert navigation of Mr. Moshiur through the backstreets of Mirpur.
A Ride to Remember
Throughout the tour (ca. 800 km), every rider played their role perfectly.
Mr. Afrad, led us like armor while Mr. Moshiur acted as our shield, ensuring the group stayed together. Mr. Badhon documented the trip with stunning photos and videos, capturing every memorable moment. Our beloved Keltu Da (Hassan Zaid) provided silent companionship, Mr. Sajal maintained the ride’s rhythm with his impeccable style, and Mr. Nayon, with his CB150R, kept the team warm. Mr. Akimul, Shariful, Yamin, and Mashiur from Bogura quickly became part of our tight-knit group.
The biggest surprise? Despite indulging in delicious meals throughout the tour, our budget was lower than expected, and we even received a refund! In most group tours, you rarely see an expense breakdown, let alone a refund-this was truly remarkable!
“This was one of the best big-group rides of my life-smooth, well-disciplined, and incredibly enjoyable. If all group tours were this well-organized, I would go on many more! Looking forward to riding with my fellow FCBians again soon.”
